Hello there!

Picture taken summer 2008

It's been a while, I guess I haven't had much to write about. Yeah, right! Probably too much to write about, not enough words to describe it all!

The kids are growing sooo fast,

Taylor (6 1/2) is enjoying first grade, loves her teacher, can read at a third grade level, AND got a blue slip once (detention!) for a silly reason, but she sure learned her lesson! She has lost 2 teeth and is about to lose another one, but we're sure she'll learn to like the dentist since she has a tooth growing in crooked behind her other teeth on the bottom.

Jordan (4 1/2) has become quite the big helper! He loves to give compliments and get compliments, well let's just say he likes to put on Taylor's dresses and be told that he is pretty! He has become more bold towards his sister and brother, not much of a pushover anymore. He is eager to learn how to read so he can catch up with Taylor!

Riley (2 1/2) Is a typical 2 year old stubborn, "I can do it" Lightening McQueen FANATIC! He is all boy, in fact he just got caught today playing with the poop in his diaper, YUCK! He loves Taylor and Jordan dearly and has learned to stick up for himself real well! His vocabulary is growing by the minute, in fact his most common sentence when you ask him to do something is "Just one second" haha he's so smart!

I started watching my good friend Angela's baby, we have a long history, we once were neighbors when we were 2 and have always kept in touch and now we live in the same town! Angela had to go back to work 3 months after he was born, so, I am now the auntie that gets her baby fix 4 days a week! It is even more amusing that he was born 2 years after my Riley within the month that my kids were all born, so technically he's the 4th baby I will never have!!

Hunter (8 Months) Is crawling all over the place, he is great at sweeping the floors! He loves playing with all the big kid toys. And of course he gets so much attention here with the kids all in his face, he cries when "huntermomma" tries to put him in the car seat to take him home! He even sleeps through all the playing up and down the hall!

Terry started a new job 3 months ago. He absolutely loves it! the first full week of work he came home on friday and said that he was sure glad that he has a family to come home to because if he didn't he would never come home! lol

I have been busy being mom, wife, friend, student, etc. I am primariy a stay at home mom, OF COURSE I am still a Mary Kay consultant (www.marykay.com/hughest) I will never quit!! But I feel that I need to be with my kids and husband any chance I get. I am going to hold appointments 2 or 3 times a month for FUN money and to take care of my customers!

For the past 2 1/2 years I have been studying the bible with Jehovah's witnesses. I loved the mommy and little boy that would knock on my door every couple of weeks and invited them into my home for a bible study every friday morning. Honestly, I was VERY VERY skeptical about their beliefs and so I was making a list of all the differences between my beliefs as a baptist and what they were teaching. I read the bible on my own and was so skeptical of their version of the bible I always used my NIV version and I prayed like crazy for the truth to be revealed in my studying.

It was so enlightening when I had a huge weight lifted off my shoulders, when I was educated about a loving kind and powerful Jehovah God that would return to make this an earthly paradise...I also had all my questions answered about the Trinity doctrine that was always so fuzzy and hard to understand.

So I am continuing to study and I TRULY believe that I have found the truth and I have made a lot of changes in order to please Jehovah. I will be baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses as soon as the opportunity is available.

As a witness we do not celebrate any holidays, including birthdays, christnas, easter, etc. So it would have been very awkward to call and wish you a happy birthday, but please know that I was thinking of you on that day and I hope you had a fabulous day.

If you have any questions about my beliefs or about the changes I have made please call me or email me! I am open to discussion and questions and concerns that you as my friends and family may have.

Please know that I am still Tracy the friend or family member I have been previously, but I have changed my beliefs which in turn has inspired me to make a lot of changes in my life.
Of course I am also still a mom, wife and business owner too :)

I will get back to this blogging thing as often as possible. I figured that was only fair since I read other people's blogs that I should start posting again!

Sunday March 16th? Geez where has time gone?

Well this blog isn't going to start out on a very positive note, but I promise that it gets better, keep reading!

I wanted to start out with some prayer requests, the times we are living in are changing and I am finding that a lot of people close to me are in need of prayer. I truly believe that the more people praying to our amazing GOD about these things the better :) so here's my list....

1. Tomorrow my sister Dawn is going to have a tumor removed from her abdomen. They fear it to be cancerous. She is a diabetic and recently suffered a mild heart attack and has MS. Seriously, she has been through so much. They have given her a 50/50 chance, but I know my GOD and I know my sister, stubborn and strong, she will make it through this and be able to get her SURVIVOR tattoo! She has two sons, and two grandchildren.

2. A family that I am close with lost their brother to a heart attack on Sunday. He was in his early 40s. They are planning a memorial for him on Saturday June 7th.

3. A dear friend of mine has filed for divorce. She is an amazing woman with so much strength that has struggled with DIVORCE as a christian woman. She has read the scriptures and prayed for years, but her husbands heart is so hardened that she has decided to file.

4. A couple from our church is having issues with the adoption process in another country.

wow I think I will be compiling a list for the next couple of days. I thank you for praying for these families and I will be sure to update you.

On to the Mary Kay part of my post :)

WOW June 30th is the last day of our Mary Kay year and I am soooo close to earning a 4 carat amethyst ring! I have a huge goal to get 45 women's opinion of our products by June 30th, so I am offering $75 in product for $25 for all of my hostesses through June! I will definitely keep you updated!

I appreciate each and every one of you that has supported me and my business this last year! Because of you I am #1 in my unit for Sales and Team Building!! There are over 100 women in my unit and I am #1 thanks to all of you! :)

Have a great week!

It's been a while!

Amy reminded me at BUNCO that I haven't posted in a while, so here it goes!

My 10 show week was tons of fun! It actually turned out to be a 7 show week, but I put Mary Kay products on 27 women and sold over $700! It was so much fun to meet new people and spend time with friends! Thank you again to all who helped! I thought you would like to know how flexible my business is, so here are a few examples of some of the classes that I did that week! On Monday I had a skin care class at the Mason County Courthouse! I have a couple of customers in the County Clerks office so I went down there hoping that three of the ladies would be available. HAHA it just happened to be their lunch time and three of them tried my skin care (I brought warm wash cloths because I wasn't sure about the sink situation!) and the mineral powder foundation. That night is my success meeting and I had only one guest confirmed, and with two more guests it would be considered a class, so I called one of my good girlfriends (thanks Jennifer!) and she was able to come so I dragged my mother in law along to make 3, another class! The next day I had my BNI (business networking international) meeting and I had sent home samples of the men's skin care line with the men in my group, but they hadn't taken the time to try it, so I asked three of the men to wash their faces in the bathroom there at the restaurant after the meeting! We meet at the Cloverleaf Bar and Grill in Bremerton! 3 businessmen helped me out by taking the same bar of soap into the bathroom and washing their faces! AMAZING what will happen when you have a goal! The next night I had a get ready for bed party at my good friend Jenny's house and we all wore our PJ's which is definitely not something I would normally wear to a skin care class! I knew that they were all going to be wearing PJ's so I did to and it was so much fun! I did end up going into Fred Meyer that night, in my PJ's at 10pm and I actually saw a customer of mine! oh what type of explaining I would have to do if she saw me! :) Thursday at MOPS we announced that Stephanie was hostessing a skin care class at my house that afternoon and that kids were welcome! So at 2:00 I had 3 babies playing on the floor and 4 or 5 toddlers playing (while Riley slept!) and 7 mommies getting facials! On Saturday I went to a baby shower for one of my girlfriends I have known since we were 1 and got to facial her mom and grandma that night afterwards at 11:30 at night! WOW what a great week. I worked about 12 hours and made $27 an hour! I honestly worked the same amount of time that I have scheduled to work every week, I didn't spend any extra time away from my kids and family than I would if I actually worked every time I have scheduled!

The thing I am most excited about this week is that we have great new products out, you can check them out on my website: www.marykay.com/hughest

I hope you all have a great day tomorrow and I'll post more often!

A Busy Bee

WOW what a week I am having! The women around me are so eager to help me reach my goal of 10 classes this week! So far I have held 6 ( Actually I counted wrong it's 7 since saturday!!) classes since Saturday! I have pamperd 23 women and sold over $550!! I have another class tonight (actually she cancelled, so I might be calling you tonight!!) which will make 7, I am not sure how the other 3 are going to happen tomorrow, but I am going to do all that I can and work until the last minute in order to achieve this goal. So the numbers/statistics of my week are great, but what I have enjoyed the most is meeting so many new people! I love meeting new women and Mary Kay has been the vehicle to so many friendships! This week has been a little bit crazy, but soooo much fun. I miss my hubby and my kids a lot though, but a short term sacrifice for a long term gain is always worth it! Thank you to everyone who has helped me out and to those of you who have been so supportive of my goal! I'll update you again soon!

350 Calories

That is how many calories I burned tonight on my elliptical machine! Not to mention the 110 grams of fat! Woohoo, that will even out the peanut buster parfait I had from Dairy Queen tonight!

I had my first of 10 classes this afternoon! I had tons of fun! I love to meet new people and see the smiles on their faces when they feel good and love Mary Kay products! Thank you Jami!

Goodnight!

SCREAMING

Screaming has been all I have heard out of Riley for most of the day. I don't know for sure what is wrong with him, he might have a sore mouth, but that seems unlikely. I have tried cuddling, talking, playing and even singing, but he is screaming hysterically. How am I writing this blog? you ask. I gave him his pacifier and put him back to bed, but now he is screaming at the gate on his door. I just tried calling Terry and letting him talk to Riley because he has this way with Riley. Riley hardly ever whines and cries when Terry is home, but with mommy it is a normal thing? I do not put up with it and allow him to follow me around crying or whining and if nothing is working then I put him in his room and let him cry it out for a while, when I go to get him he is usually okay. So, how then does he think that he is getting away with it, and that I allow it? I guess I will go see if he is done. Wish me luck? (pray for me!)
